Overview:
Intranet Document Management System (Core application) is the application to upload, search and retrieve the document in the intranet environment. Document Management System has a database system to organized stored documents and can have a search mechanism to quickly find specific documents.

The user can create a folder or subfolder and load the document in the folder. The documents and folders are demonstrated in the tree format. Each Folder or document has only one parent folder.

Features:
With Intranet Document management System, the user can:

  • Create the Folder (or Subfolder) for the documents in the server.
  • Rename his own Folder (or Subfolder).
  • Create the name, title, type, description and destination folder of the document.
  • Define the document / folder as public or private.
  • Upload document to the server.
  • Retrieve his own document / folder and other public folder / document.
  • Modify the name, title, type, author and description of the document.
  • Delete his own Document, Folder.

    Entering to the system:
    The users see the document management system in the frames. On the left frame, the tree format of the categories (folders) and documents are displayed. Of the right frame detail information of the document or folder will be visible, should the user clicks on each document or folder.



    The user can see all the public documents and categories under the root directory. By clicking on each icon next to each document or folder the document or folder may be expand or collapse.

    Create Category:
    User can create a folder under the root or any other category. To do this the user should click on the category and then click on Create Category. Following screens displays on the right hand side.



    The user can identify the category as private. Private category can not be viewed by other users.

    Upload Document:
    User can upload a document under any category or root category. To do this the user should click on the category and then click on Upload Document. Following screens displays on the right hand side.



    The user can identify the document as private. Private document can not be viewed by other users.

    View Document:
    User should be able to select the document in order to view it. To do this the user should click on the document on the left frame. Following screens displays on the right hand side.



    Delete Category / Document:
    User can delete a folder or document. To do this the user should click on the document or category and then click on the Delete button. Following screens displays on the right hand side.



    Edit Category:
    User can edit a category. To do this the user should click on the category and then click on Rename. Following screens displays on the right hand side.



    Edit Document index:
    User can edit name, type, title, description and author of the document. To do this the user should click on the document and then click on Edit Document Index. Following screens displays on the right hand side.
